Like new, no writing or markings in book, 353 pp.(other than a library notary from former owner Harry S. Burton III, M.D). A must copy for any le Carre' reader or collector!

The love affair described in the book between the two protagonist, a British publisher and a young Soviet woman, who works for a Moscow publishing house, is considered by many to be the best intern-personal relationship create by the Le Carré and is admired for being subtle and understated.

The title "The Russia House" refers to the nickname given to the secrion of the British Secret Intelligence Service that was devoted to spying on the Soviet Union.

Like many of the books written by le Carre', this was also turned into a movie as well. The motion picture starred Sean Connery and Michelle Pfeiffer, and directed by Fred Schepisi.
