Both hardcovers are in Very Good+ condition. No writing or markings found in either volume, 547 and 464 pp., respectively. 

A handsome boxed set of George Washington by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Douglas Southall Freeman, published by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1948. This is the first edition of the two-volume abridged version of Freeman’s seven-volume masterwork, specially edited for broader readership.
