The dust jacket is clipped but not price clipped. In a mylar protective wrapper. The dust jacket is Very Good+ and the hardcover is Near Fine. 

May Sarton wrote 53 books, including 19 novels, 17 books of poetry, 15 nonfiction works, 2 children's books, a play, and additional screenplays. According to The Poetry Foundation,Sarton's style as defined by critics is "calm, cultured, and urbane."

Wilder won the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1928 for his most famous work. In 1998, the book was rated number 37 by the editorial board of the American Modern Library on the list of the 100 best 20th-century novels.
