No writing or markings in this classic book, 128 pp. Translated from French by Irene Ash. 

This was Francoise Sagan's (1935-2004) first and best known work, which was published when she was only 18 years old. Was made into a movie by Columbia Pitctures in 1957, directed by Otto Preminger, starring Jean Seberg, David Niven and Deborah Kerr. 

The author was a French playwright, novelist, and screenwriter. Sagan was known for works with strong romantic themes involving wealthy and disillusioned bourgeois characters.

American editions of Bonjour Tristesse (Hello Sadness) with dust jacket intact, is said to be scarce.
