Joan Didion. First edition, first printing. New York: Simon and Shuster, 1977. The unclipped dust jacket and hardcover are both in Very Good+ condition. The jacket was designed by the great Janet Halverson. There is a small quarter-inch tear on the upper front jacket. No writing or markings in the book, 223 pp. 

This was Didion's fourth book and third novel. The story is about two American women in a, fictional poor Central American country, of Boca Grande.

Joan Didion (1934-2021) was an American writer who was heavily involved in the counterculture movement of the 1960's. She is known for her essays and political writings, and won the Pulitzer Prize for 'The Year of Magical Thinking'.
