Former owner inscription on flyleaf page, otherwise, no writing or marking found in this wonderful, well-preserved copy, 60 pp. Does not have the FAI on flyleaf page, therefore, it's a first edition, second state. Only 50-100 copies of those were printed. Only 1000 copies of this limited edition were printed. The illustrations by Frederick K. Russell.

This book is the text of the narration that Hemingway contributed to the 1938 Joris Ivens film of the same name, a pro-Republican documentary about the Spanish Civil War. With the disclaimer printed on the rear pastedown.
