No writing or markings found in this well preserved copy, 328 pp. The jacket art and illustrations, ornaments, and calligraphy in the text by J. Wolf.

Biography on Geoffrey Chaucer, focusing on the period and his works. This is certainly one of Gardner's most intriging books.
