Larry McMurtry. First edition, first printing. New York: Simon and Shuster, 1985. Both dust jacket and hardcover in Very Good+ condition. Jacket is price-clipped, and in a mylar protective wrapper. Jacket design by George Corsillo, utilizing a painting by Shannon Stirnweis. There is a marking on flyleaf page, otherwise, no writing or markings in the book, 843 pp. 
This edition includes all first edition points, such as, complete number line (10-1) present on copyright page and 'none' for 'done' error on line 16 found on page 621. Had a print run of 41,000 copies for first edition. 

The first edition of this book that went on to win the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in the year of publication. Many consider this work to be the author's tour-de-force. A well above average collectible copy of this now classic Western Novel (and basis for the TV mini-series of the same name).
