Interview with the Vampire is a riveting novel about a vampire hunter, and young scholar, Louis de Pointe du Lac, who is trying to find a way to stop the vampire from destroying all of civilization.

This was Rice's first novel and the first book in The Vampire Chronicles. This novel would be turned to film with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise taking lead roles.
