Miss Stein was one of the first people to help and mentor a young Hemingway & Hadley when they arrived in Paris in 1921. She was actually one of the godparents of their first some Bumpy. However, their relationship was often strained and included a falling-out after the publication of The Sun Also Rises in 1926.
