This is a great novel set in a prison from the author of Bullet Park, The Wapshot Scandal and The Wapshot Chronicle. It deals with a Professor whose sent to prison for killing his brother. This was the authors fourth novel.
Cheever won the National Book Award for The Wapshot Chronicle. He also won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction for his collected stories.
