Ernest Hemingway. Later U.K printing, twenty-first impression. London: Jonathan Cape, 1966. Both unclipped dust jacket and hardcover are in Bery Good+ condition. No writing or markings found in the book, 442 pp. Scarce dust jacket.
A highly collectible later U.K. printing of Hemingway’s iconic Spanish Civil War novel, presented here in Very Good+ condition with its original unclipped dust jacket—an increasingly scarce survival in the marketplace.
This 1966 Jonathan Cape edition retains the classic mid-century British jacket design and is dedicated to Martha Gellhorn, Hemingway’s third wife and a prominent war correspondent whose experiences helped inform the novel’s emotional realism.
Collector Notes:
While later impressions are more accessible than first printings, copies in this condition—particularly with a well-preserved dust jacket—are becoming increasingly difficult to source. An excellent addition for collectors building a complete Hemingway shelf, especially those focused on Jonathan Cape editions.
