No writing or markings in the book, very clean for a book about 75 years old. There is no price on inside flap on jacket as well as a "dot" on rear corner of the book denoting a book club edition. 

Set against the backdrop of World War 2, an American officer stationed in the UK, meets and falls in love with an English woman. With this romance in the foreground, wartime planners, and a mix of different characters, the battles heat up.
