Naked Lunch is structured as a series of loosely connected vignettes, intended by Burroughs to be read in any order. The reader follows the narration of junkie William Lee, who takes on various aliases, from the U.S. to Mexico, eventually to Tangier and the dreamlike Interzone. The vignettes are drawn from Burroughs' own experiences in these places and his addiction to drugs.

This classic novel of the Beat generation was not published in America until three years after it was published in France. In 1991 it was made into a movie starring Peter Weller, Judy Davis, Ian Holm, Julian Sands, and Roy Scheider. Fine book in a fine first issue dust jacket with a touch of rubbing to the top of the spine. A beautiful copy!.
