This is the fourth book by Durrell and the final book in his Justine tetralogy. Durrell published the first book in the series in 1957 and this the final one three years later. Also known as the Alexandria Quartet, ended up being a huge commercial success for the author, making him one of UK's best known authors by the end of the century.
