This was the authors second book and was awarded a Houghton Mifflin fellowship his first book, A Hall of Mirrors. A very nice copy of the author's second book, co-winner of the National Book Award. Basis for the 1978 film *Who'll Stop the Rain* starring Nick Nolte. One of the very best Vietnam novels, and often considered the author's best work.
