The iconic dust jacket for Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea was designed by A. (Adrianne) E. Fratini, an artist and designer who worked for Scribner’s.

A beautifully preserved later printing (April 1957) of Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea, in very good plus (VG+) condition. This hardcover edition retains its original, unclipped dust jacket — a rare find. Both the DJ and the binding show gentle signs of age, but no major tears, no price clipping, minimal wear to the spine, and clean, tight pages. A terrific piece for Hemingway collectors, vintage literature lovers, or anyone who appreciates classic mid-century American fiction.

A classic copy of Hemingway's work which won him a Pulitzer Prize in Fiction in 1953. The book isna later printing, so it's missing the "A" on copyright page and lacking the Scribner colophon.
