This is the authors 15th novel. His second book, One Hundred Years of Solitude (1970), is a classic that won him a Pulitzer Prize for Literature. The photo on front cover is the author, at two years old. He was known as Gabo throughout Latin America. He passed away in 2014 at age 87.
