Death of a Salesman" follows the trials of Willy Loman, the quintessential American tragic hero.

This was Miller's third play which won a Tony Award, the Pulitzer Prize, and the New York Drama Circle Critics' Award. It was the first play to win all three prizes. It also became the 1951 film directed by Stanley Roberts. It was originally presented at the Morosco Theatre in New York on February 10th, 1949 (it ran for 742 performances). In addition, it won countless other international commendations, and is widely considered the single most important American play of the twentieth century.
