Rawlings classic memoir of life in the Florida hamlet of Cross Creek. A wonderful copy! "Cross Creek is a bend in a country road, by land, and the flowing of Lochloosa Lake into Orange Lake, by water."
Her best known work, The Yearling, about a boy who adopts an orphaned fawn, won a Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1939 and was later made into a movie of the same name.
