Both unclipped dust jacket, in a mylar protective wrapper, and hardcover are pristine, in Fine condition. Original price $10.00 still on inside flap. No writing or markings in the book, 401 pp. Top of pages only are speckled. 

Signed by Warren on the first sheet. His last novel. The main character, Jed Tewksbury, tries to escape his backwoods origins in Nashville, Tennessee. 

There was a limited edition (350 copies) printed prior to the release of this edition. This is a true collectible for any Warren reader, collector or bookscout.

Warren received the 1947 Pulitzer Prize for the Novel for ALL THE KING'S MEN (1946) and the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1958 and 1979. He is the only person to have won Pulitzer Prizes for both fiction and poetry. He was honored to become the first poet laureate of the United States.
